Fun and Interesting February 13, 2010 B. Janeiro (Irving, TX) I bought this cube for my 8 month old daughter - she's a little young yet for it, but she really likes getting the feel of the blocks.
Good buy for the price February 1, 2010 Nikhil Hegde (Austin, TX) Pros:
Good value for money
Made of light wood, durable
Cons:
The box is hollow, so if you put the shapes into their slots all the way, they just fall into the box. I had to put a smaller box in, so my son could play with the shapes without wanting to open the box each time.

Blocks are good, paint isn't January 20, 2010 Robin B. Meyer 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My daughter has fun with these blocks and is working on learning the shapes. She is starting to fit them into the holes, and also enjoys stacking them, loading them in and out of the box, and all the other things you can do with a set of blocks! My only complaint about this toy is that, after only a couple months of play, the paint is chipping and peeling off the blocks. I'm glad it's non-toxic, because it's definitely not staying on the wood.
TWO different varieties - choose the right one! January 11, 2010 A. Baines (Tyler, TX) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Okay, there are two varieties of these cubes, and the difference is subtle but significant. We purchased one that looks EXACTLY like the one pictured but the brand was Imaginarium. It's a great classic toy that my 19-month-old loves and can pretty much complete independently. However, the one we bought has a removable side that merely sits in place. Obviously that is a terrible design decision, because when you rotate the cube to reach the other sides, the top falls off, spilling the contents. I had to glue some magnetic strips on it to hold it in place while my daughter plays. There is an almost identical toy (often pictured interchangeably with the ones shown as Melissa & Doug) which has a slide-in-place closing side. That seems like a MUCH better idea! So please do buy this toy, but I advise you to choose the one with the slightly better design, if possible.
